Open Calls,

Grants & Residencies

For Working Artists.

Art Call List aggregates juried exhibitions, public art commissions, grants, residencies, photography calls, and creative jobs — vetted weekly and built for artists who want to spend more time making.

About Art Call List

Art opportunities should be easier to find.

Art Call List brings open calls, art competitions, grants, residencies, public art opportunities, photography calls, creative jobs and other opportunities together in one searchable place for working artists.

Why We Exist

Less time searching. More time making the work.

Finding worthwhile opportunities can feel like a job of its own. Open calls are scattered across gallery websites, arts organizations, social media posts, newsletters, grant databases and dozens of separate submission platforms.

Art Call List was created to make that search simpler. Instead of asking artists to hunt across the internet, we bring a wide range of current opportunities into one directory where they can browse by opportunity type, discipline, location, fee and deadline.

The goal is straightforward: create a useful, accessible resource that helps artists discover opportunities worth considering while giving arts organizations another way to reach the people they are trying to find.

What You'll Find

Opportunities across the working artist landscape.

Art Call List is built to go beyond traditional calls for entry. The directory includes opportunities for artists at different stages of their careers and across a wide range of creative disciplines.

Our Listing Process

Every submitted listing is reviewed before publication.

Organizations can submit opportunities directly to Art Call List. Before a submitted listing appears in the public directory, we review the information for relevance, clarity, formatting and completeness.

We may lightly edit listing text for readability and consistency while keeping the substance of the opportunity intact.

Art Call List provides information about opportunities and links artists to the organizer's official application page. Application decisions, fees, awards, deadlines and participation terms remain the responsibility of the organization offering the opportunity.

A listing on Art Call List does not constitute an endorsement or guarantee of an organization, opportunity, application outcome or award.

How We Approach the Directory

Useful first. Complicated never.

01 / ACCESS

Free to browse

Artists should be able to discover opportunities without paying for access to the directory.

02 / CLARITY

The important details upfront

Deadlines, fees, eligibility, discipline and application information should be easy to understand before an artist clicks away.

03 / DISCOVERY

The directory is designed to help artists discover opportunities beyond the same handful of calls and organizations they already follow.
